PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a ground picture data without generating a sense of incompatibility in a reproduced picture. SOLUTION: This picture processor eliminates the ground picture data and divides ground-eliminated picture data into plural areas and discriminates attributes of each area and compresses ground-eliminated picture data based on the attribute discrimination result, thus encoding the picture data. The extent of ground picture data elimination can be controlled. Desirably, the extent of ground picture data elimination is controlled based on the attribute discrimination result. |
