PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the dispersion of the coating amounts, increase the active material filling density of an electrode, and enhance high rate discharge characteristics and high temperature life characteristics by using carbon powder having the specified bulk density as the conductor being added to a positive electrode. SOLUTION: Lithium cobaltate having an average particle size of about 10 μm is used as a positive electrode material, carbon powder having a bulk density of 0.10-0.25 g/cm<2> is used as a conductor, and PVDF is used as a binder, and they are mixed so as to have a weight ratio of about 90:5:5, N-methyl-2- pyrrolidone is added to the mixture as a solvent, then they are kneaded to prepare slurry. The slurry is applied to both surfaces of aluminum foil having a thickness of about 20 μm, serving as a positive current collector, by roll to roll transfer coating, dried, then rolled to unite them. The active material coated current collector is cut so as to have a width of about 54 mm and a length of about 450 mm to prepare a positive electrode. |
