PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture generator and an information storage medium which generate a realistic shadow with a small operation volume and a small storage capacity. SOLUTION: Center positions C0 and C1 and radii R0 and R1 of a top face 15 and a bottom face 16 of a truncated cone (or a column or a cone) approximating an object are stored as shadow data, and a shadow polygon 18 is generated based on projection positions T0 and T1 obtained based on the projecting positions C0 and C1 to a projection plane 17 and radii R0 and R1. A connection shadow polygon to connect two shadow polygons is generated. Shadows are generated based on projection positions and radiuses with respect to parts object groups like arms, legs, the head part, and a weapon of a character, and shadows are generated by projecting apexes of objects (or simple objects) on the projection face with respect to parts objects groups like the body part or feet. |
