PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable photographing with proper exposure all the time by obtaining the proper emitted light quantity of a flashing device, without depending on the brightness of an object. SOLUTION: The luminance of the object is detected (S1) and when the detected value is a prescribed one or above, a first photometric signal generating circuit is selected (S2 → S3). When the detected value is below the prescribed value, a second photometric signal generating circuit after a gamma correction is executed is selected (S2 → S4). Then, a reflected light quantity in pre-light- emission is detected by the photometric signal generating circuit (the first or second photometric signal generating circuit) selected in such a manner that the pre-light-emission is executed (S5), the emitted light quantity is calculated to make the exposure state of the object most suitable, based on the detected reflected light quantity (S6) and then, processing is completed. |
