Compositions with a potassium superoxide base and their applications

Potassium superperoxide compositions contain an additive product selected from the oxides of alkaline-earth metals and magnesium, particularly calcium oxide CaO, incorporated preferably in a concentration between 2 and 30% by weight, based on the weight of the total composition. These compositions of KO2 are used to regenerate breathable atmospheres, particularly as regenerating charges in closed circuit individual rebreathing devices.
