PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary drum motor having a PG detecting mechanism and high rotational accuracy, wherein the S/N ratio is improved without making great changes in a conventional circuitry by a relatively simple structure, the capacity of a mechanism part necessary for PG detection, and the narrowing of an effective substrate area is prevented. SOLUTION: A shield plate 16 is provided in the bearing side 18 of the main magnet 12 of a rotator, a pulse generation PG magnet 14 is provided more in the bearing side 18 than the shield plate 16, a stator includes an inductor 15 on a substrate so as to generate an inductive pulse by detecting the magnetic field of the PG magnet 14, and the relative rotational positions of the rotator and the stator are detected by a pulse generated by this inductor 15. |
