PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize a pitch shift processing which produces small noises and ripples. SOLUTION: This device has a buffer memory 3 which stores digital input voice data for at least a length corresponding to a frame and a pitch shift quantity, a pitch detecting circuit 10 which detects the pitch of a voice from the voice data in the buffer memory 3, and a pitch shift frame connecting circuit 4 which performs a pitch shift processing on the basis of voice data having the length corresponding to the frame length and pitch shift quantity and connects the frame right before the shift to the frame right after shift conversion to generate successive voice data which has been shifted. When data of a next frame are read out of the buffer memory 3, read-out is started at a time equal to an integral multiple of the previously detected pitch before the point of the obtained by adding the difference between the original time of the last frame and the time needed for pitch detection and pitch shift processing to the length corresponding to the pitch shift quantity. |
