PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide color filters which obviate the occurrence of defects, such as pinholes, peeling and discoloration, on dyestuff layers and have a smooth front surface, a high adhesion property and superior reliability, even in a series of panel production processes, such as high temperature firing and wiring of transparent electrodes. SOLUTION: Dyestuff layers 11 of color filters, consisting of a substrate 10 and the dyestuff layers 11 obtained by regularly arranging the dyestuff layers 11R, 11G, 11B between over-coating layers 2 formed on the substrate 10 are composed of inorganic pigments and low melting point glass composed of 50 to 65% PbO and 25 to 35% SiO2 as a basic composition. The over-coating layers 2 comprise the low melting point glass composed of 50 to 65% PbO and 25 to 35% SiO2 as a basic composition. |
