PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the storage capacity to store address information. SOLUTION: Each of modules 11-14 that executes a protocol for the communication of the IP over ATM system uses an address information storage section 22 as a means of storing address information consisting of an IP address and an ATM address. A data conversion section 21 converts the address information in a form in matching with a protocol of each of the modules 11-14 to allow the modules 11-14 to share and manage the address information in common. Thus, a storage capacity to store the address information is reduced.
