PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device by which sufficient lubricant performance is obtained, where a supply mechanism is simplified and which can be made small in size by using the composite material of low molecular weight polytetrafluoroethylene (low molecular weight PTFE) with other material as lubricant supplied to the surface of an image carrier. SOLUTION: This device is provided with the lubricant supply mechanism 12 for supplying the lubricant 22 to the surface of a photoreceptor 2 and the lubricant 22 is the composite material of the low molecular weight PTFE with at least one or more kinds of other material. In such a case, it is desirable to use fluororesin as other material, and it is desirable to use the fluororesin being the PTFE having different molecular weight from the low molecular weight PTFE used in this device. Thus, the friction reducing characteristic of the low molecular weight PTFE is obtained as a molded body. The lowering of photoreceptive characteristic or transfer characteristic caused by the shaving of the photoreceptor 2 is restrained. The supply mechanism can directly come in contact with the photoreceptor 2 owing to the frictional characteristic of the low molecular weight PTFE, so that the device can be miniaturized. |
