PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control optical signal output between a subordinate optical signal transmitter and a main optical signal transmitter-receiver within a prescribed range by allowing the subordinate transmitter-receiver to measure received optical signal output, generate control information, insert it in data signals and transmit them to the main transmitter-receiver and allowing the main transmitter-receiver to extract the control information from received data and control the optical signal output based on the information. SOLUTION: An optical output monitor 100c monitors the output of optical incoming signals 120a received from an optical subscriber's line terminating equipment and transfers the level to an OH generation circuit 100d. The OH generation circuit 100d generates the overhead of two bits and a multiplex circuit 100f inserts the two bits to the overhead of data signal to be transmitted, outputs electric outgoing signals 130a and transmits them to the optical subscriber's line terminating equipment. In the optical subscriber's line terminating equipment, the overhead of the two bits is extracted from the received optical signals and the output of the optical signals to be transmitted is controlled so as to be in a fixed range with it as the control information. |
