PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate search for a desired electronic mail by adding the contents of transmitter's proper information to the from field or subject-field of an electronic mail that is received from internet facsimile equipment. SOLUTION: An originating user sets a transmitting original to a scanner 5 and inputs information on a transmitting destination. Then the user inputs the transmitter's proper information on his own mail address, etc., by means of a key, etc., of an operation display part 7. The contents of inputted information are analyzed, and if the contents of the transmitter's proper information show a mail address, the above contents are added to the from-field of the relevant electronic address. If the above contents show an address other than the mail address, the contents are added to the subject field of the electronic mail. Thus, the user who receives electronic mails can easily search for his desired mail based on the display contents of the originator's name.
