PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base board capable of freely changing the kind of an I/O slot, the number of I/O slots for each kind, and the position of the I/O slot, and electronic equipment having such a base board. SOLUTION: A base board 1 is constituted by a main substrate 2 and an extension substrate 3, wherein the substrate 3 is provided with plural I/O slots, and each I/O slot is provided with extension substrate and I/O slots mounted thereon. In this device, signals for all the I/O slots are allowed to flow to the extension substrates, and signals for each I/O slot are allowed to flow to the I/O slots. Also, the main substrate 2 is connected using a connector with the substrate 3, and the adjacent I/O slots are also connected using a connector.
