PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the character editing device which saves the labor and time for input operation and can accurately and surely convert an outline. SOLUTION: When a font system as a conversion object is specified on an operation screen (shown in the figure) and an 'outline conversion' button is pressed, an outline converting process is performed. In this outline converting process, the font name of a character specified in a font specification list box is obtained first in a step S501 and a font information table held previously in an OS(operating system) is performed in a following step S502 by using the obtained font name to obtain font information corresponding to the obtained font name from the OS. Then an advance to a step S503 is made and conversion parameters corresponding to the font system that the specified font belongs to are determined according to the obtained font information. |
