PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical sensor in which the thickness of a diffusion layer is made constant, which is not influenced by the flow velocity of a sample as far as possible and by which the concentration of a component to be measured can be measured with good accuracy. SOLUTION: In an electrochemical sensor which is constituted, a chamber 4 which is partitioned from the outside by a diaphragm 3 which passes only a gas to be measured is formed at one end of a sensor body 2, an electrolytic solution 5 is housed inside the chamber 4, an anode 7 and a cathode 6 are arranged in the electrolytic solution 5, and a current which flows across both electrodes 6, 7 by the reaction of the gas, to be measured, passed through the diaphragm 3 at the electrodes 6, 7 is measured by a measuring circuit 9. In the electrochemical sensor, a switch 14 is installed at the measuring circuit 9, the switch 14 is turned on or off, the time in which the reaction is generated at the electrodes 6, 7 is limited, and a current which flows in the limited time is measured. |
