PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide echo effect and reverberation effect accompanied with variation in timbre by a simple configuration without placing any load on a control means such as a microcontroller and a CPU. SOLUTION: So that sounding started at substantially different timing for every assigned sound generation channel, the control means 1 transfers control parameter to a musical sound signal generating means 3 based on one piece of key-ON information and also sets at least >=2 different filter coefficients for the assigned musical sound generation channels to perform control so that the musical sound of a channel which is sounded late has less higher harmonic components than the musical sound of a channel which is sounded early.
