PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption more by effectively utilizing the power saving mode. SOLUTION: A power saving switching section 3 uses a FET 39 to reduce a current supplied to a main unit 1 more when a terminal voltage of a capacitor 38 is higher. The capacitor 38 is charged when a switching circuit consisting of resistors 31, 32, 33, 34 and transistors(TRs) 36, 37 is closed under the control of a power supply control section 4 and is discharged through a resistor 35 when the switching circuit is switched off. The power supply control section 4 closes the switching circuit by the time of occurrence of a prescribed event to release the power saving mode after power supply from a power supply unit 2 is started or a prescribed event to set the power saving mode takes place. |
