<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably separate a recording sheet from an intermediate transfer medium without using a static eliminator which requires a high voltage power supply for static elimination. SOLUTION: This image forming device includes a transfer machine T2, which has an inner transfer roller 29 and an outer transfer member 30, and which, when a transfer voltage is applied between the inner transfer roller 29 and the outer transfer member 30, transfers a toner image on a toner image carrier belt B onto a recording sheet passing through a transfer area Q4; a field-regulating conducting member 51 disposed inside and along the toner image carrier belt B without making contact with the toner image carrier belt B after the toner image carrier belt B has passed through a transfer area Q4, for regulating an electric field downstream of the transfer area Q4; and field regulating potential imparting means 53, 54 for imparting to the field regulating conducting member 51 an electric potential for weakening an electric field formed between the outer transfer member 30 and the inner transfer roller 29 at the side downstream of the transfer area Q4.</p> |
