<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curl straightening device which can save space and have a curl straightening effect on the curl of transfer paper not only in its feed direction but also in its cross direction irrespective of the amount of toner clinging to the paper. SOLUTION: A curl straightening device 5 for straightening curl in transfer paper P when the transfer paper conveyed from an image forming part in which a toner image T is transferred and fixed on one side of the transfer paper P is passed through the device 5. The curl straightening device 5 has a straightening roller 6 arranged on the toner surface of the transfer paper to which the toner image is fixed, and having a number of projecting parts on its surface, and has an opposing roller 7 arranged in a position opposite to the straightening roller 6 across a paper path and pressurize the transfer paper P toward the straightening roller 6. The projecting parts provided on the straightening roller 6 are shaped like regular pyramids and arranged in a grid shape.</p> |
