<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the content base coding method for images in which compatibility with conventional coding for each 8×8 pixel block is attained by coding a difference between weight coefficients of a DC component in an adjacent weighting coefficient block, together with a weight coefficient of an AC component. SOLUTION: Difference values in weighting coefficients are arranged in a 8×8 weighting coefficient block, such that 8×8 weighting coefficients 48, DC component weighting coefficients 49, DC component weighting coefficient difference values 50, 51, AC component quantization weighting coefficients 52, and AC component quantization weighting coefficients 53 whose value zero are indicated. A coefficient value of 0 set in a pseudo manner to the AC component quantization weighting coefficients 53 whose value is zero to avoid coding of a pixel block not including pixels of contents. Thus, a higher information compression rate is attained by decreasing number of DCT weight coefficients, whose values are not zero more than the method for conventional conversion coding.</p> |
