PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary the condition of the voltage applied for image transfer, in a device wherein a toner image formed on a photoconductor is transferred by use of a transfer roller, by obtaining a control condition from the control table of a controller according to conditions under which changes in environmental conditions are detected whenever necessary. SOLUTION: A toner image formed on a photoconductor 21 is transferred onto paper by application of voltage from a transfer roller 25 at an image transfer part, in which case a predetermined value of transfer voltage is applied to the transfer roller 25 from a transfer voltage application circuit 31 connected to a control circuit 30. A plurality of conditions for the voltage applied are set in a control table 34 in such a way as to correspond to temperatures, and in the boundary range of the temperatures, corrections are performed so that control conditions do not change abruptly. Depending on an environmental condition detected by a sensor 35, an optimum condition is obtained from the control table 34 provided in a memory 33, so as to vary the set voltage. |
