PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform accurate expected production and inventory management and to improve sales efficiency (profit efficiency) by selecting what is optimum among plural sales curves in accordance with a sales situation and estimating expected sales of merchandises. SOLUTION: A decision processing part 6 receives a sales number Y in a prescribed sampling term L from an inputting part 1 and calculates a term average sales number Ms. A generating part 8 calculates a term average sales number Mi in a sampling term L of a past sales curve (1st sales curve) F which corresponds to this product stored in a 1st storing part 2 and produces a 2nd sales curve G by making the curve F Ms/Mi times. A selecting part 9 defines the 2nd sales curve where the sum of absolute values of sales number differences between the sales numbers G of a sampling term Ls through the curve G and the number Y becomes minimum as a 3rd sales curve. The part 6 calculates an estimated sales number that corresponds to a prescribed date on the 3rd sales curve.
