PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct efficient decoding processings, without the provision of a CPU operated at a high speed and a buffer memory or the like needing a large capacity. SOLUTION: A program information storage means 126 stores program information with an error check code included in a multiplex stream signal, resulting from multiplexing plural programs of at least video and audio coded streams. A comparison means 124 compares program information stored in the program information storage means 126 with program information included in the multiplexed stream signal being received. An error check means 128 checks the error based on the error check code added to the program information being received when the comparison result by the comparison means 124 indicates a change in the program information being received.
