PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture generator and an information storage medium which realize a special picture effect, for which there are no precedents, and express and extremely real shadow wth a small operation volume. SOLUTION: A first part B1 of a character 20 is projected on a ground 19, and a second part B2 of the character is translated in the direction of the projected vector to deform the character 20, thus obtaining a picture effect that a shadow suddenly becomes a three-dimensional body to attack. Both of D1 and D2 are displayed to obtain the real shadow. Boundaries C1 and C2 of parts B1 and B1 are variably controlled. The color of the projected part D2 to the ground 19 is set to black. A projection matrix MP is made to act on both a rotation matrix MR and a translation vector VT with respect to the part B1, and the matrix MP is made to act on only the vector VT with respect to the part B2. Apex local coordinates are transformed by MPR and VPT generated by making MP act on MR and VT, thereby generating the real shadow without using simple objects. |
