PURPOSE:To prevent inferiority in image transfer onto a sheet, by using a pair of feed-out rollers each having a continuous cylindrical section having a length longer than the width of a maximum usable size sheet, and by providing a sheet detector at the front of these rollers in the feed direction. CONSTITUTION:Due to rotation of a feed roller 3 sheets 18 set in a paper feed cassette 2 are fed out, and guided by a pair of guide plates 19a, 19b. After a sheet detector 17 detects the leading end of a sheet 18, a time lag from the detector 17 to a pair of feed-out rollers 4a, 4b is set in order to control a stop of rotation of the feed roller 3. In this arrangement each of rollers 4a, 4b is such a continuous cylindrical roller that the length l1 of is longer than the width l2 of a maximum usable size sheet in the direction perpendicular to the feed direction of the sheet 18. With this arrangement the overall width of the sheet 18 is uniformly held between the rollers 14a, 14b and is fed out without being corrugated. The sheet is then made into close contact with a photosensitive medium 12 to attain a desired purpose. |
