PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently repeatedly use the same printing plate and to realize high-speed printing, the miniaturization of the device and the reduction of running cost in the case of the printing of small number of sheets by supplying self-collective compound so that self-collected monomolecular film may be formed on the surface of base material, and selectively desorbing it so that the printing plate may be formed. SOLUTION: By supplying the self-collective compound 2 to the surface of the base material 1 and energizing the base material 1, the compound 2 is arrayed and absorbed on the surface at high speed, so that the self-collected monomolecular film is formed in a short time, and an image forming body 4 is obtained. By selectively applying heat energy from a thermal head 5 to the compound 2 forming the self-collected monomolecular film, an ion coupling part is selectively dissociated and desorbed. Then, water is supplied to the surface of the image forming body 4, and oily ink is supplied threrto from a developing device 11. Ink is preferentially stuck to a lipophilic non-desorbed surface while avoiding a desorbed surface to which water is stuck, and the ink image is formed and transferred to a recording medium 13.
