PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type liquid crystal display(LCD) device capable of controlling a uniform gap between opposed electrodes. SOLUTION: The reflection type LCD device has plural metallic electrodes formed on an insulating substrate which is transparent under visible light and allowed to be used also as reflection layers and cylindrical spacers 4 consisting of photosensitive negative type high molecular resin cured by light irradiation from the insulating substrate side forming the metallic electrodes 2. An area between adjacent metallic electrodes 2 and including no cylindrical spacer 4 is constituted of a 1st space having width W and an area between adjacent metallic electrodes 2 and including the spacers 4 is constituted of a 2nd space having width SW. The width of the 1st space is less than the resolution limit of the photosensitive negative type high molecular resin and the width SW of the 2nd space is more than the resolution limit of the resin. |
