PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch transmission of a moving image into transmission of a still image according to a required operation by storing a high definition still image to a memory. SOLUTION: An A/D converter section 2 converts a video signal of a camera 1 into a digital signal, and the digital video signal is fed to a still image recording section 3 and a moving image coding section 4. A switching section 5 is thrown to the position of the moving image coding section usually, a moving image is sent from an input output section 6, the moving image is given to a moving image decoding section 14 from an input output section 11 via a switching section 12, where the moving image is decoded, the decoded image is converted into an analog image by a D/A converter section 15, and the converted analog image is displayed on a monitor 16. In the case of giving an interrupt instruction from an entry section 7 or 17, the instruction is discriminated by a discrimination section 8 via a control section 9, which throws the switching section 5 to the position of a still image recording section. In this case, a discrimination section 18 also discriminates the interruption instruction via a control section 19 to thrown a switching section 12 to the position of a still image reproduction section 13, and the decoded high definition still image is displayed on a monitor. |
