PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely extract higher harmonic components from musical sound waveform data. SOLUTION: The peak of the amplitude is detected from the frequency spectrum of a musical sound waveform. The position of the peak of amplitude data nearby the pitch of the musical sound waveform is extracted as the frequency of a fundamental wave. The frequency of a 2nd overtone is estimated from the frequency of the fundamental wave. The position of the peak of the amplitude data nearby the estimated value is detected as the frequency of a higher harmonic corresponding to the 2nd overtone. The frequency of a 3rd overtone is estimated from the frequency of the 2nd overtone. The position of the peak of the amplitude data nearby the estimated value is detected as the frequency of a higher harmonic corresponding to the 3rd overtone. Similar processes are performed from low order to high order. |
