PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-pickup device in which mis-detection of a steep change in luminance as color information hardly takes place and a false color is not conspicuous, even when false color information is spread around edges to enhance the image quality. SOLUTION: A camera signal processing circuit 4 of the image-pickup device is provided with an edge detection section 9 that detects an edge of an input signal, a luminance signal processing section 5 that extracts luminance information of the input signal, and a color difference signal processing section 7 that extracts color information of the input signal. The color difference signal processing section 7 suppresses color difference signal, when conditions|D1-D2|>A and|D1-D3|>A or|D1-D3|>A and|D2-D3|>A are satisfied at the edge detection section 9, where D1, D2, D3 are signal amounts of three consecutive pixels along the horizontal direction of an image; and A is a predetermined setting value.
