PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silver halide photographic sensitive material having improved storage property and pressure property. SOLUTION: In the red sensitive layer, the gravity center wavelength (λ- R) in the spectral sensitivity distribution of the multilayered effect influenced by other photosensitive silver halide emulsion layers in 500 to 600 nm range satisfies 500 nm<λ- R<560 nm. The difference betweenλ- R and the gravity center wavelength (λG) in the spectral sensitivity distribution of a green sensitive layer is in the relation ofλG-λ- R>=10 nm. Further, at least one green sensitive layer contains a planer silver halide photographic emulsion which is prepared by rapidly adding an emulsion of silver iodide fine particles to host planer particles of silver iodide bromide or silver bromide having (111) principal planes parallel to each other in a dispersion soln. containing water and a dispersion medium so as to introduce dislocation lines to the host particles.
