The invention concerns the use of horseradish peroxidase combined or not with caffeic acid or other substrates, in compositions for cosmetic or dermopharmaceutical use, for preventing and/or repairing harmful effects on the skin induced by oxygen radical forms produced by natural physiological reactions as well as by exposure to solar or artificial UV radiation, or any type of physical or chemical aggression. The product resulting from said combination is characterised in that it has a high detoxifying activity of the superoxide dismutase type on superoxide anion O2<u>.</u> and of catalatic type on hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). |
