In a single-lever mixer, a cap (42) closing the open end (10) of the housing is mounted in a manner fixed against relative rotation on an adjusting-shaft bearing part (20). The adjusting shaft (16), which is pivotable in this bearing part about a transverse axis is driven via a gear mechanism (32, 50) by a shaft (44) which is mounted in the cap transversely to the axis of the cap and is connected to the operating lever (34) of the mixer. <IMAGE>
