The apparatus for discharging articles transported along a conveyor path, especially bottles, consists of a rotatably drivable discoid support (20), on which a multiplicity of pusher rods (33), which are to be activated individually, are radially guided in each case. Control of the radial movement of the pusher rods (33) is carried out by means of a cam disc (42'). Only when an article is to be discharged is a pusher rod (33) connected to the cam disc (42'), by actuation, by a roller (36), of a carrier which is connected to the pusher rod. The cam disc has, on the side of the conveyor belt, in horizontal projection, essentially the shape of a half rectangle which has rounded corners and is inclined towards the start of the conveyor belt. <IMAGE>
