The cutter for a wood chipper has an inlet funnel (1) divided into two. The cutters (5) have rollers (2, 3) with their cutting edges oriented towards the outer walls of the funnel. Each roller has a cutter rib (8, 9) with adjacent counter cutter ribs (9) having a defined space between them. The rotary directions of both rollers are opposing.
