<p>The invention relates to a method for determining the position of a vehicle in which, with the use of digital road network data, a relative vehicle position (P) and a driving direction are measured by a sensor. Starting from the measured relative vehicle position (P), a reference point (R) on a road segment (S) of the digital road network data is calculated on a line which essentially runs at a right angle to the driving direction.</p> |
