Joining apparatus, e.g. stamp for assembly of motor vehicle and other machines

The joining apparatus involves a force actuator (10) e.g. of hydraulic type which contacts one or more booms (4) and produce a force component which is directed in the opposite direction to the bending force components applied by the booms during the joining process. The force component may be varied in the course of the joining process. The force component may be regulated proportional to the force of the drive unit (8) which creates the join using joining tools (6). Control and monitoring is enabled via a sensor arrangement.
