The invention relates to concrete and additives thereto. The invention provides a method to mix or pour or place concrete using a concrete comprising a polysurfactant-like polysaccharide additive, preferably wherein said additive is derived of starch or is at least partly soluble in 95 % ethanol. The invention also provides a polysurfactant-like additive and a method to make such an additive.
