PURPOSE:To obtain the titled reagent, by adding a polyfunctional internal crosslinking monomer to a mixture consisting of an acrylic acid derivative, a vinyl monomer having a sulfonic acid group, a fluoroalkyl acrylate derivative and a radical polymerizable vinyl monomer. CONSTITUTION:As monomer components, not only 0.1-20wt% of an acrylic acid derivative represented by a formula I (wherein R<1> is H, a lower alkyl group or a carboxyl group and R<2> is H or a lower alkyl group) and 0.001-10wt% of a vinyl monomer having a sulfonic acid group are used but also 50-99.799wt% of a mixture, which consists of a fluoroalkyl acrylate derivative represented by formula II [wherein R<3> is H or a lower alkyl group and R<4> is a group represented by formula III, herein, (m) and (n) are an integer of 0-12, x+y=m-1 and R<5> is H or an acetyl group. A is respectively independently H, F or CF3] occupying 1-100wt% and a radical copolymerizable vinyl monomer except the former two, and 0.1-20wt% of a polyfunctional internal crosslinking monomer are mixed to form a composition which is, in turn, subjected to emulsion copolymerization and, further, calcium bromide is added to the copolymer solution as an additive to obtain an aqueous dispersion of emulsion copolymer particles excellent in the dispersing stability in an aqueous medium. |
