A pharmaceutical composition comprising a homogeneous combination of abacavi r, lamivudine, and zidovudine in an amount which achieves antiviral efficacy, a process for the preparation of such a composition, and a method of inhibitin g human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) which comprises administering such a composition to an HIV infected patient is disclosed.
