PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video signal recorder that records/reproduces prescribed still image data to/from a recording medium that is usually used for a personal computer. SOLUTION: The recorder 1 is provided with a video signal external input means 2, a floppy disk drive 8 to which a recording medium 200 used usually by a personal computer 100 is loaded, a memory controller 9 that converts a video signal and still image data in an image data format used by the personal computer 100, a memory 10, an image data companding circuit 11, an ID identification section 15 that identifies an ID included in the video signal received from a video signal external input terminal section 3, and a micro controller 14 that controls recording of still image data to the recording medium 200 based on the identification result of the ID identification section 15. |
