PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sine wave generator and a sine wave generating method, which provide linearity in a saw-tooth wave and also follow a commercial power supply with high responsiveness. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a computing unit 7 which calculates an output phase increment per unit time so that the phase difference between a phase detected by a phase detector 3 to detect that a commercial power supply 1 is in a specified phase and a current output phase can be eliminated in detection phase where commercial power supply is in the next or some cycles later, and with a sine wave generator 12 which outputs a sine wave in synchronism with the commercial power supply based on an output of a saw-tooth-wave generator 11 which generates a saw-tooth wave by integrating an output of an output value holding device 8a which holds an output of the unit 7 at the time of detecting that the supply 1 is in the specified phase and resetting an integration output when it becomes a specified value. |
