<p>A method for treating a radioactive waste which comprises contacting a liquid waste containing a radioactive isotope with a selective adsorbent for the element of the isotope, which is soluble or easily decomposable, to thereby adsorb the isotope on the adsorbent, and then dissolving or decomposing the adsorbent. This treating method can be employed for treating a liquid waste containing an isotope with ease and with a low cost, and storing or controlling such a radioactive liquid waste with ease, which will result in reducing the load of the cost for a facility such as a tank on a medical or a research institution.</p> |
