The device uses spectral analysis of the electromagnetic activity of the heart and the brain by conversion of the detected electromagnetic signals from the time spectrum to the frequency domain using a Fourier transformation, with calculation of the sums of the real and imaginary components for providing a power spectrum. The latter is subjected to a logarithm process and subtracted from the power spectrum local mean values, to provide a difference power spectrum, converted into a frequency difference power spectrum for subsequent analysis.
