Thermoplastic molding composition containing organically modified phosphoric acid ester, phosphonic acid ester or phosphonocarboxylic acid ester has good workability and low viscosity. Thermoplastic molding composition comprises a sinterable silicon-containing ceramic powder(s), a thermoplastic binder(s) and an organically modified phosphoric acid ester, phosphonic ester or phosphonocarboxylic acid ester. Independent claims are included for the preparation of: (i) the above molding composition by mixing the components at a temperature above the softening temperature of the binder; and (ii) ceramic molded articles by molding the articles, separating the binder by burning in air at temperatures from 800 degrees C and sintering.
