Capacitor coil of two plastics films with metallization on one side

The films (12) are stacked with metal layers pointing in the same direction and edge strips (14) at opposite longitudinal sides. The films are wound onto a coil core (16) with the metal layers pointing to the coil jacket. There is a film offset transverse to the film longitudinal axis. At both sides of the capacitor coil (10) the position of each protruding film part is staggered periodically by a mean offset value with a stagger amplitude and period. An Independent claim is included for the manufacturing process and machinery.
