The cooling and shaft sealing device has a pump casing (1) with induction connector (2) and compression connector (3) for a supply region (4) inside the casing, separated by at least one oval gear (5) and connected to a drive by at least one shaft (6). The shaft is sealed to the pump casing by a sealing bush adjacent to the supply region. Coolant can be sucked in via the gap in the seal. There is a sealing ring on the shaft between the drive and the cooled region of the shaft.
