Improving overall efficiency of fibrous suspension wet sieving

A portion (A) of the fine fraction (F) is recycled (RC) back to the raw fibrous suspension (S), for return to the wet sieve (1) inlet. Preferred features: The portion is 20% or 30-60% of the fine fraction (F) by volume. The recycle (RC) is returned to a point just before the inlet of the wet sieve. The coarse fraction includes a predominant portion of the undesirable foreign fibrous matter of the original suspension (S). The fibers in the coarse fraction (G) have an average length significantly larger than that of those in the fine fraction.
