Glazing with selective transmission and reflection spectra. This glazing comprises a transparent substrate carrying at least one thin semireflective layer of a metal or metal alloy and a protective coating, this coating comprising in combination at least one surface layer containing an oxide of high mechanical resistance to abrasion. Such glazing finds particularly advantageous applications in building, because of its very low emissivity coefficient, capable of being lowered to values of the order of 0.1; in particular, it makes possible a considerable reduction in the costs of airconditioning buildings. <IMAGE>
