Communications traffic management method for telephone system

摘要

The communications traffic management method involves compressing incoming signals received from the subscriber peripheral before the signals are forwarded via a digital transmission path. The transmitted signals received are decompressed using a compression and decompression unit (TDK/TDeK) associated with each subscriber. The compression and decompression is effected by using several different compression and decompression factors selected in dependence on a signalization received from the calling subscriber. The compression and decompression unit may be incorporated in the subscriber circuit (TSCH).
